Family office governance is a set of a guiding principles that defines how the family will make decisions with respect to its family office. These guiding principles includes rules, protocols, processes, and organizational structures – typically formalized in a written document called a family office charter or constitution. The goal of governance is to ensure the achievement of the overall vision and objectives of the family office in a fair and transparent manner.
